Andhra Pradesh Police has digitized many citizen services, including the ability to lodge complaints online. Through this system, citizens can:

  • Register FIRs for non-emergency cases
  • Report lost items (e.g., mobile phones, documents)

  • Download copies of FIRs (if available)

Steps to File FIR Online

  1. Visit the official AP Police Citizen Services portal.
  2. Click on the "Report Crime / Lodge Complaint" option.
  3. Fill in the details including:
    • Your personal information (Name, Phone, Address)
    • Incident details (Date, Time, Place, Description)
    • Attach documents or photos if available
  4. Submit the complaint and note down the reference number.
  5. Use this reference to track FIR status later.

Documents/Details Needed

  • Personal ID proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID)
  • Mobile number (for OTP verification)
  • Details of the incident
  • Any supporting documents (if applicable)

Important Notes

  • Only non-cognizable offences (like lost items) can be reported directly online.
  • For serious crimes (like theft, assault), it is recommended to visit the nearest police station.
