How to Check Vehicle Registration Details Online
- Visit the official Parivahan Sewa portal (Ministry of Road Transport & Highways).
- Navigate to "Online Services" and then "Vehicle Related Services".
- Select " Your State" as your state.
- Choose "Know Your Vehicle Details" or similar option.
- Enter your Vehicle Registration Number (e.g., AR01A1234).
- View details such as vehicle owner, registration date, make, model, and fitness validity.
How to Apply for New Vehicle Registration
- Purchase your vehicle from an authorized dealer.
- The dealer typically handles the initial application process.
- Submit required documents (Form 20, sale certificate, insurance, address proof, identity proof, temporary registration).
- Pay the registration fees and road tax.
- The RTO will inspect the vehicle and issue the Registration Certificate (RC) and High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP).
How to Transfer Vehicle Ownership Online
- Ensure both buyer and seller have necessary documents (Form 29, Form 30, original RC, insurance, PUC, address proof, identity proof).
- Visit the Parivahan Sewa portal and select "Vehicle Related Services".
- Choose "Transfer of Ownership" or similar option.
- Fill in the application details, including seller and buyer information.
- Upload scanned copies of all required documents.
- Pay the applicable fees online.
- The RTO will process the application and update the RC.
Important Points to Remember
