1. Old Age Pension Scheme
This scheme provides financial assistance to senior citizens who have no or very little source of income to support themselves.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a resident of Delhi for at least 5 years.
- The applicant's age must be 60 years or above.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- Should not be receiving a pension from any other government or private source.
2. Financial Assistance to Persons with Disabilities
This scheme provides a monthly pension to individuals with a significant disability to help them with their daily expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a resident of Delhi for at least 5 years.
- Minimum disability of 40% or more, as certified by a competent medical authority.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- Should have a valid disability certificate.
3. Financial Assistance to Widows
This scheme provides financial support to widows, divorced, or destitute women to help them lead a dignified life.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a resident of Delhi for at least 5 years.
- Age of the applicant must be between 18 and 60 years.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- Should not have any adult son who is financially capable of supporting her.
How to Apply for the Schemes
Applications for these social welfare schemes are typically submitted online through the e-District Delhi portal. The process is similar for all the schemes mentioned above.
- Visit the Portal: Go to the official e-District Delhi portal.
- Register/Login: If you are a new user, register by providing your Aadhaar number and other details. Existing users can log in directly.
- Select Service: Under the 'Services' section, find and click on the specific pension or financial assistance scheme you wish to apply for.
- Fill and Upload: Complete the application form with all required details. Upload scanned copies of necessary documents, such as Aadhaar card, residence proof, income certificate, and a passport-sized photograph.
- Submit: Review the form carefully and submit it. You will receive a unique application number to track the status.
