Overview of Rajasthan Jan Aadhaar Yojana

The Jan Aadhaar Yojana is a flagship scheme of the Government of Rajasthan, initiated to provide a "One Number, One Card, One Identity" for all residents. It replaces the previous Bhamashah card and serves as a unified platform for delivering a wide range of government services and welfare scheme benefits directly to eligible citizens. The unique 10-digit Jan Aadhaar number and the Jan Aadhaar card simplify access to public services and promote transparency.

Key Features and Benefits

The Jan Aadhaar card is an essential document that provides numerous benefits, including:

  • Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT): It serves as the primary identifier for receiving cash benefits from various schemes, such as pensions, scholarships, and unemployment allowances, directly into the beneficiary's bank account.
  • Universal Access to Schemes: The card enables access to non-cash benefits from public welfare schemes like the Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana and the Public Distribution System (PDS).
  • Proof of Identity and Address: It is a valid and widely accepted document for identity and address proof within the state.
  • Family-Based Identity: The card links all members of a family, with a female member typically designated as the head of the family, promoting women's empowerment.

Application and Update Process

New enrollments and updates can be carried out through the official online portal or by visiting an e-Mitra center.

How to Apply:

  1. Citizen Registration: Register as a new applicant on the Jan Aadhaar portal or through the Rajasthan Single Sign-On (SSO) portal.
  2. Enrollment Form: Fill out the family's details, designating a Head of Family (HoF).
  3. Document Upload and e-KYC: Upload required documents and complete the Aadhaar e-KYC for the HoF and all family members above five years of age.
  4. Verification: After submission, the application undergoes a two-level departmental verification. A unique 10-digit family ID and 11-digit individual IDs are issued upon approval.

How to Update:

To make corrections, add a new member, or update family information, citizens can use their SSO ID to access the Jan Aadhaar application and submit a request, which will also be followed by verification.
