The Uttarakhand Startup Policy is a state-driven initiative designed to foster a robust ecosystem for startups and budding entrepreneurs. The policy aims to provide financial support, mentorship, and a simplified regulatory framework to encourage innovation, especially among the youth. It focuses on creating a favorable environment for businesses in key sectors such as manufacturing, IT, agriculture, tourism, and healthcare, thereby generating employment and boosting the state's economy.

Key Benefits & Incentives

The policy offers a range of incentives to recognized startups. These benefits are provided by the government to support businesses in their initial and growth phases:

  • Monthly Allowance: Eligible startups can receive a monthly allowance of up to ₹25,000 for a specified period to assist with operational costs.
  • Product Development & Marketing Assistance: One-time grants of up to ₹5 lakh are provided to help startups with product development and marketing efforts.
  • Seed Funding: The policy includes provisions for seed funding of up to ₹25 lakh for qualified startups.
  • SGST Reimbursement: Startups are eligible for reimbursement of State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) paid on sales for a period of up to three years.
  • Stamp Duty & Electricity Subsidy: Complete reimbursement of stamp duty on land leases or purchases, and subsidies on electricity tariffs are also available.
