The **Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana** is a flagship social security scheme launched by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Its primary objective is to provide comprehensive support and social security benefits to the poor and unorganized sector workers and their families. Eligibility Criteria for Sambal Yojana
The scheme is specifically targeted at unorganized sector workers who meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must be a native of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant must be an unorganized worker. An unorganized worker is defined as a person aged between 18 and 60 years who is employed in the unorganized sector and is not a member of any Employee Provident Fund (EPF), Employees' State Insurance (ESI) or other government employee fund.
- The applicant must have an Aadhaar Card and a Samagra ID.
- The applicant must not be an income tax payee or a government employee.
- The applicant's name should not be included in the list of beneficiaries of any other similar social security scheme.
Verification of the worker's status is done through the Gram Panchayat or Urban Local Body (ULB) based on the submitted application.
Key Benefits of Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana
The Sambal Yojana offers a wide range of benefits, which are directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries (Direct Benefit Transfer - DBT):
- Maternity Assistance: A benefit of ₹16,000 is provided to female workers. This includes ₹4,000 for pre-natal care and ₹12,000 for post-natal care.
- Scholarship for Children: The children of registered workers are eligible for scholarships to pursue higher education, including engineering, medicine, and other courses under the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Shiksha Protsahan) Yojana.
- Accidental Death Grant: A sum of ₹4 lakhs is provided to the family of the registered worker in case of accidental death.
- Natural Death Grant: A sum of ₹2 lakhs is provided to the family of the registered worker in case of natural death.
- Partial Disability Grant: A grant of ₹1 lakh is provided in case of partial permanent disability.
- Permanent Disability Grant: A grant of ₹2 lakhs is provided in case of total permanent disability.
- Funeral Grant: An immediate financial assistance of ₹5,000 is provided to the family for the last rites of the registered worker.
- Electricity Bill Waiver: The scheme also includes benefits for electricity bill waivers for registered workers.
- Ayushman Bharat 'Niramayam' Coverage: Registered families are also eligible for cashless health insurance of up to ₹5 lakhs under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Online Application Process for Sambal Yojana
Registration for the Sambal Yojana is done online through the official Shram Seva Portal. Here's a general guide:
- Visit the Shram Seva Portal: Go to the official Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana website. The main portal is often linked from the Labour Department's website. The direct link is generally https://sambal.mp.gov.in/
