Caste, Income, and Domicile Certificates are essential for various government schemes, jobs, and educational purposes. In Delhi, these certificates are issued online through the e-District portal.
Step 1: Get Your Documents Ready
Before starting the online application, ensure you have the required documents in a digital format (PDF or JPEG) and that they are clear and readable.
- For Caste Certificate: Caste-related document (e.g., father's caste certificate), residence proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID), and a passport-sized photograph.
- For Income Certificate: Residence proof, income proof (salary slip or IT return), and a self-declaration of income.
- For Domicile Certificate: Residence proof for the specified period (e.g., Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport), birth certificate, and a self-declaration.
Step 2: Online Application Submission
Follow these steps to submit your application on the official e-District portal.
- Visit the Portal: Go to the official e-District Delhi portal.
- Register and Login: If you are a new user, click on 'New User' and register with your Aadhaar number. If you are an existing user, log in using your User ID and password.
- Select the Service: Under the 'Services' section, find and click on the specific certificate you wish to apply for (e.g., "Issuance of Caste Certificate," "Issuance of Income Certificate").
- Fill the Form: Carefully fill out all the sections of the online application form with accurate personal and family details.
- Upload Documents: Upload the scanned copies of the documents you prepared in Step 1.
- Final Submission: Review all the information, accept the terms and conditions, and submit the application. You will receive an application number for tracking.
How to Check Application Status & Download Certificate
After applying, you can easily track the status of your application online. Once approved, you can download a digital copy of your certificate.
Step 1: Track Your Application Status
Visit the e-District Delhi portal and click on the 'Track Your Application' link. Enter your application number, applicant's name, and the captcha code. The status will be displayed, showing whether it is "Under Process," "Approved," or "Dispatched."
Step 2: Download Your Certificate
Once the status shows "Approved," you can download a digital copy of your certificate from the portal. You will need your application number and other details to access the final certificate. This digital copy is legally valid for most purposes.
