The TN e-Sevai portal is the centralized platform for applying for and tracking various government certificates and services. To check the status of a certificate you have applied for, you'll need the unique application number provided to you when you first applied.
- Application Status Check: This service allows you to track the progress of your application. You can see whether the certificate has been approved by the Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Revenue Inspector (RI), or the Tahsildar.
- Certificate Download: Once the application is approved, the certificate can be downloaded directly from the portal using the application number.
- Genuineness Verification: The portal also provides a service to verify the authenticity of a downloaded certificate by entering its number. This is useful for institutions that need to confirm the validity of a submitted document.
How to Check Status
The process is quick and simple. You only need the application number provided to you when you first applied, either online or at a Common Service Centre (CSC).
- Visit the Portal: Go to the official TN e-Sevai portal at https://www.tnesevai.tn.gov.in/.
- Navigate to Status Check: Look for a link or section titled "Application Status" or "Verify Certificate." This is often found on the homepage or under a "Services" tab.
- Enter Application Number: Enter the application number that was generated when you first applied for the certificate.
- View Status: The system will display the current status of your application (e.g., "Submitted," "Pending at VAO," "Approved," "Rejected"). If the status is "Approved," you will see an option to download the certificate.
