Mukhyamantri Samajik Sahayata Prakalpa
This is a significant state-run initiative that aims to provide a secure life with dignity to the economically disadvantaged. The scheme consolidates various pensions and allowances for different vulnerable sections of society, including old and infirm persons, vulnerable women (widows, deserted, and unmarried women), and unorganized workers.

National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP)
Implemented in Tripura, the NSAP is a centrally sponsored program that provides social assistance benefits to poor households in the form of pensions. The key components include:
- Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS): For senior citizens from BPL families.
- Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS): For widows from BPL families.
- Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS): For persons with severe disabilities from BPL families.
