How to Pay Your Electricity Bill Online
New Delhi is served by several electricity distribution companies (discoms), primarily **BSES Rajdhani**, **BSES Yamuna**, and **Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL)**. You can pay your bill online through their respective official portals.
Step 1: Find Your Consumer Number
Your consumer number is a unique identification number assigned to your electricity connection. You can find it on a previous electricity bill or on your meter. It is typically a 10 to 12-digit number.
Step 2: Visit Your Discom's Official Portal
The online bill payment process is quick and secure. Go to the official website of your electricity provider.
- If your area is served by BSES, visit the BSES Delhi portal.
- If your area is served by TPDDL, visit the TPDDL portal.
Step 3: View Your Bill and Pay
On the respective portals, follow these steps to complete your payment.
- Enter Details: On the payment page, enter your Consumer Number and the CAPTCHA code.
- View Bill: Your current bill details, including the amount due and due date, will be displayed. You can also view past bills.
- Select Payment Method: Choose your preferred payment option, such as debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
- Complete Payment: Enter your payment details and complete the transaction. An e-receipt will be generated after a successful payment. You should save this receipt for future reference.
